DEVELOPER
MediaStorm is looking for a passionate and self-motivated Developer to implement Flash, Web 2.0 and database projects for mediastorm.org as well as projects for MediaStorm's clients.
The ideal candidate will have proven technical expertise coding in Actionscript and creating dynamic, database-driven web sites. Experience working in PHP, Javascript, Ajax and SQL is a strong plus.
Description
MediaStorm Developers will:
Build world-class multimedia websites using Actionscript and other appropriate languages
Code back-end website solutions in PHP
Write javascript to deliver dynamic, client-side web content
Develop innovative production and workflow tools
Work with Multimedia Producers, Interactive Designers and Project Managers to establish production timelines
Conceive of innovative storytelling approaches to further MediaStorm's storytelling mission
Participate in client meetings and develop to their needs
Work with designers to implement designs and user interfaces
Be responsible for testing code across browsers and platforms
Build database applications for in-house data storage needs as well as for web site data delivery
Maintain a development environment

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing cutting-edge user interfaces and developing interactive design specs. Experience designing across multiple media (broadcast, print, online) is a strong plus.

The Interactive Designer will:

MULTIMEDIA PRODUCER
MediaStorm is looking for a passionate and self-motivated Multimedia Producer to produce and edit audio, photography and video elements into compelling multimedia pieces for mediastorm.org as well as for MediaStorm's clients.
The ideal candidate will have experience producing and editing in both linear and interactive storytelling formats. Writing experience and/or picture editing experience is a strong plus.

Work with and guide photographers, filmmakers, audio reporters, and musicians to create multimedia content
Write scripts and introductions for voice-over narration
Evaluate multimedia submissions for possible publication

MediaStorm is looking for a talented and self-motivated Multimedia Writer to craft compelling journalistic stories and contribute to multimedia pieces for mediastorm.org as well as for MediaStorm's clients.
The ideal candidate will have experience investigating, researching and writing for a journalistic organization. Experience writing for web, television, film or radio a plus.

Research and report on important, interesting and significant stories for a cutting-edge multimedia site
Write stand-alone stories and supplementary information as part of large, journalistic multimedia reports
Write cinematic narrative scripts for video, audio and multimedia delivery
Evaluate story possibilities and suggest topics to be covered
Work with multimedia producers, photographers and filmmakers to formulate compelling multimedia content

MediaStorm is seeking a passionate and self-motivated Technical Engineer to become an important and strategic member of our team to architect, configure, maintain and support our technical infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and administrating networks, digital production environments, communication systems and data archive systems. Experience trouble shooting technology problems and supporting end users is critical to success in this role.

MediaStorm Technical Engineers will:
Think strategically about MediaStorm's short and long-term technical goals
Research and recommend new technology to help further those goals
Provide training, advice and support in all technology areas to staff members
Install, configure and maintain all technical architecture including hardware, software and communication systems
Architect, build and maintain local and wide area networks and all MediaStorm servers
Configure and maintain user email, ftp and network access accounts
Set up and maintain data archive system
