Evidence of My Existence is a visual synopsis of photojournalist Jim Lo Scalzo's revealing memoir.
Combining passages from his book with photographs, video, and Super-8 film, Evidence of My Existence brings to life a deeply personal account of 17 years spent moving from one new story to the next. Like the book, it is a manic exposition on a life in photojournalism and the consequences of obsessive wanderlust.
For Lo Scalzo, a veteran US News & World Report photographer, as with so many photojournalists, it's about the going.
Evidence of My Existence documents photographer Jim Lo Scalzo's 17-year journey of moving from one new story to the next. It is a manic exposition of a life in photojournalism and the consequences of obsessive wanderlust.

What a great photographer you are Mr. Scalzo. But what a greater and extraordinary human being you are for rescuing your true values and sticking to what matter most in life: love, wife and kids. I truly admire you. Great things ahead for Mr. !!!

I truly enjoyed this. Realities. I think as a female, it hit a little closer to home when dreams of having a family is in my idea of a future. But it is also constantly juggled with my constant need to be places, and capture images. Thank you for sharing your story online.

Jim Lo Scalzo , what a beautiful video...after the first few seconds, you had to watch the whole story to see what happens...the photos, video, narration and music were perfectly edited...will definitely make my multimedia students watch this for its very creative work...A Glad I found MediaStorm on Apple's seminars online.

Compelling video, so well paced and well narrated. I don't know why I am surprised... But I am. I wish the video were a long longer. (Is it?) I have no idea how I got to this page but I am glad I did. Oh yes and the photos are superb.

Been there-done that. Not on the grand scale you have, but just the same. Stories to conquer, emotions to translate, a mirror to hold-up. Schedule conflicted with life! Now a change- web video journalist instead of TV reporter. Time for family and things that matter in LIFE. Once a visitor to the lives of others, now a daily participant in the lives of my wife and three kids! Good choice!Excellent storytelling. You talents brought you away and brought you back!

I've just bought this book after watching this. I hope it lives up to expectations. Anything to support this man who has spent his live supporting the world, to the neglect of his own.

This is one of the most touching, thought provoking, and life-affirming videos I've seen in years. Jim LoScalzo has not only seen the world --- but he puts Life in perspective for all of us.
